Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how GlucoShield handles information when you use the GlucoShield web application, the digital companion to the book “The 7:15 AM Breakfast Blueprint”.

GlucoShield is an educational wellness and self-tracking companion. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the information you type into the app, the account information needed to sign you in, and basic technical information that any website receives when your browser makes a request.

• Account information: your email address and the account identifier created for you.
• Application content: your logs, goals, Starting Point entries, notes, food entries and preferences.
• Technical request information handled by our hosting and database providers, which can include IP address and browser user-agent.

3. Information You Provide

You choose what to record. Entries can include profile information, breakfast and food logs, wellness information, goals, progress information, Starting Point information, notes and routine information, and app preferences.

Most fields are optional. If you leave a field empty, the app simply does not store a value for it.

4. Health and Wellness Information

GlucoShield lets you voluntarily record wellness information such as breakfast timing, glucose readings you already measure, medication names you log for your own reference, and body measurements.

This information is used only to provide the features you request, maintain your personal records and personalize your experience. It is not evaluated for medical diagnosis and is not reviewed by clinicians.

5. How We Use Information

We use your information to authenticate you, save and display your records, calculate your personal progress views, and operate features such as recipes, the library and support requests.

We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.

6. How Information Is Stored

Your account and your entries are stored in a hosted cloud database (Supabase, provisioned through Lovable Cloud), not only on your device. Some non-essential preferences — such as a disclaimer acknowledgement and recipe favourites — are stored in your browser's local storage.

Access to your rows is restricted at the database level so that a signed-in account can read and write only its own records.

7. Service Providers

GlucoShield relies on a small number of infrastructure providers to run the application: Supabase for authentication, database and file storage, and Lovable for hosting and deployment of the application.

These providers process information on our behalf in order to operate the service.

8. Analytics

GlucoShield does not include third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs or tracking pixels in the application.

Basic technical request information may be recorded by the hosting and database providers for reliability and abuse prevention.

9. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your information. We share information only with the infrastructure providers listed above, and only as needed to operate GlucoShield.

We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of users and of the service.

10. Data Retention

Your entries are retained while your account exists so your history remains available to you. When you delete your account from the Safety & Support page, your account and the records linked to it are removed from the application database.

11. Security

Access to the application is protected by authentication, and database access rules restrict every record to the account that created it. Traffic between your browser and our providers uses HTTPS.

No online service can guarantee absolute security. Please use an email address you control and contact us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

12. Your Choices and Rights

You can review and edit your entries at any time inside the app. From Safety & Support you can request a copy of your data as a file and delete your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information. Contact us and we will respond to reasonable requests.

13. Children's Privacy

GlucoShield is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us so we can remove it.

14. International Processing

Our infrastructure providers operate data centres in multiple countries, so your information may be processed outside your country of residence.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as GlucoShield evolves. When we do, we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
